The Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea (KPIPA) was planning to host the “I Love Korea, I Love K-Book 2020” in Jakarta, Indonesia, which was picked as one of the major markets for Korean publishers. However, as border measures were strengthened across the world due to COVID-19, the planned offline meeting was changed to a video conference. This is the first time for the book fair to be conducted online. Major Indonesian publishers, including Kompas Gramedia Group and Mizan Group, are set to join the online meetings.

 

Purpose
To support Korean publishers having difficulty exporting publications due to the spread of COVID-19, and to promote export of Korean publication contents.
Period
June 29 (Mon.) - July 1 (Wed.) (3 days)
Venue
Meeting room in Seoul (TBA)
Method
Participant publishers shall come to the meeting room for 1-2 days with video conference and interpretation service provided
- Information on participating publishers from Korea and Indonesia will be shared in advance (about utilizing K-Book platform and making directory books, etc.)
- Schedule for video conferences between Korean and Indonesian publishers is set to be confirmed (factors such as publishing fields will be considered)
  * Participants from Indonesia: publishers, schools, producers (when a Korean participant that covers video content is chosen), etc.
- Participants shall come to the venue and engage in 1:1 online video meetings.
