The year 2015 is likely to be recorded as the most important period in the Korean history of feminism. In January, a Korean teenage boy who sought to join the Islamic State in Syria lamented that men are being discriminated against, voicing his hatred of women. In February, a pop culture journalist, male, published a column titled “Anencephalous feminism is more dangerous than ISIS” in a fashion magazine.
