We introduce the major literary awards and award winners that will become sales points for exporting publication rights abroad.

 

 

Adult Literature Awards:

 

Today’s Writer Award
Since 1977, Today’s Writer Award has been providing a wider range of opportunities to younger writers as it is given to the debut publications of writers of Korean novels.

Daesan Literary Award
The most significant Korean literary award is given to works of literature published within the recent year that have outstanding literary value and can represent Korean literature.

Baeseok Literary Award
The Baeseok Literary Award is given to poetry collections that have been published within the recent two years that commemorate the spirit of literature that the poet Baekseok displayed as he made his mark on modern Korean poetry.

Jamobook Youth Literature Award
The Jamobook Youth Literature Award, with its 10th anniversary this year, has become the cradle for youth literature with public approval.

Changbi Youth Literature Award
The award was established by Changbi Publishers, leaders in Korean literature and children’s literature, to revitalize authentic youth literature.

Munhakdongnae Youth Literature Award

Children’s Literature Award:

 

Ma Hae-Song Literary Award
Moonji Publishing made this award to commemorate Mr. Ma Hae-Song, who was the first to open up the way for creating children’s stories. It is given to creations that are not yet released, and the winners are published the year they are awarded.

Kwon Jung-Saeng Literary Award
This award was established to continue the love shown towards a neglected main character from Mr. Kwon Jung-Saeng through his work. Whether the literary value and the author’s walk of life match the mind of Mr. Kwon Jung-Saeng are the factors of evaluation.

Biryongso Story King
This is a literary award for children’s literature established by Biryongso, which started as a children’s books publisher in 1994. It’s the first award in Korea in which children participate as judges.
